In middle school, I played both the trumpet and flute, but mainly the trumpet. I dreamed of marching on a field with my pretend fellow band members, but as dreams change, so did my desire to play both instruments. For a few years I dreaded even seeing a musical instrument, which was ironic because after attending a regular middle school, I went to an arts high school. Being surrounded by the ambience and these musical instruments, I was always reminded of my past love to play. Now, I wouldnβt say I was the best, but the power and the rage I felt at the ripe age of 13 was expressed through the trumpet and flute. I miss it these days, playing an instrument, and I do wish to play again one day, but for now here is this drawing of what was once a dream.
